In today's marketplace, being a distributor is more than selling on product and price. Earning the ICE designation from the ISSA can mean helping your cleaning customers at a higher management level.

Evaluating cleaning services is a hard proposition. It is difficult for a cleaning service provider to demonstrate or show their cleaning competence to prospective clients. This makes the purchasing of these services solely based on word-of-mouth recommendations or good marketing efforts.

Therefore, the ISSA has developed a tool that can be used as a basis of comparison for the cleaning industry. The Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and Certification Program is a comprehensive management and operations standard for cleaning organizations.
