Nine years ago this month I was devastated by the thought of having to "celebrate" my brother Bobby's birthday without him for the first time. I wondered how I could show him that I loved him, and what would be the best way to help my parents through. As I prayed to God to please ease my pain and lift the weight from my heavy heart, I realized that my pain was nothing compared to what Bobby must have been feeling - pain that led him to feel that he needed to end his own life.
