I am sure most of you have been asked hundreds of times, "How do you do it?" Family, friends, and even neighbors all want to know how you listen to those stories all day long. "Isn't it hard on you? How can you sleep at night after you've heard what he said to her or what she did to him?" You know the questions I am talking about. My guess is that we all have our "standard" responses, the ones we use all the time. "Oh, I don't know. I'm helping them sort these things out." Or maybe it's, "Yes, it can be hard, but I'm there for them at a time when they really need an objective...
