Ben Kelley learned the hard way about Oregon's stiff penalty for motorists caught driving over 100 mph.

The 38-year-old former Eugene resident was fined $1,100, sentenced to 15 days in jail and lost his license for 90 days after being convicted in Lane County Circuit Court on charges that he filmed himself in April riding his motorcycle along Interstate 5 north of Eugene at speeds that reached 164 mph.

While admittedly proud of becoming the state's fastest speeder on record, Kelley says he wishes the incident hadn't happened....
