Large construction companies around the state require the expertise of professionals when it comes to accounting and taxes.

"In our business, it's difficult because contractors don't always know what costs are," says Joel Bobo of HORNE LLP, CPA and Business Advisors. That's just one of the key issues facing the construction-related clients of area accounting firms.

"The construction industry goes through cycles. There are cycles when there is a lot of work going on. That's when the contractors all get plenty of work," explains Bobo. "Bonding companies are more lenient with their bonding capacity and all is good."
