Inkra Networks, in conjunction with the Telindus High-Tech Institute, has just launched Europe's first certified training programme on deploying a virtualised network services architecture.

The course has been launched in response to a rapidly growing demand from enterprises and service providers looking to move from a hardware appliance-based network infrastructure to a virtualised architecture[1].

Consolidating and virtualising the delivery of network IP services - such as VPN, firewall, intrusion detection & prevention, load balancing, routing and SSL acceleration - can enable businesses to cut Operational Expenditure (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) on network infrastructure by up to 90%. It also allows network services to be delivered 'on-demand' and security functions to be layered throughout a network to complement perimeter security.
