At Rutgers University, the introductory course in women's and gender studies, "Women, Culture, and Society," covers a wide range of social issues, the history of feminist activism, and foundational feminist theory. When I teach this course, I season the required texts with YouTube videos that provide context for the denser theoretical readings.
