"Following the Golden Rule will make a business successful," said Fountain, founder of Joe E. Fountain, Jr. & Company in D'Iberville. "Your staff should always treat your clients and fellow workers with the utmost respect."

Fountain established the accounting firm under his name in February 1973 with one $35 monthly account. Over the last 33 years, the firm's name has changed four times as partners have grown with the firm, beginning when the late Bill Bass joined the practice and the name was changed to Fountain & Bass.
