NEW YORK-Growers Direct Coffee Company, Inc. (OTCBB:GWDC), a worldwide distributor and marketer of gourmet, specialty whole green bean and roasted coffees; recently provided the following operational updates:
Coffee Industry Trade Shows and Networking: GWDC will be showcasing our coffee at the sold out Specialty Coffee Association of Europe Convention in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 19th - 20th. The attendants are from all over the world and include roasters, traders, cooperatives and coffee producers.
Green Bean Coffee Trade: GWDC continues to actively work on the expansion of supply source regions and supply from existing sources. The company has a total of over 30 containers of specialty coffee contracted for year end from Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, and Colombia. Jamaican coffee is being harvested starting September, and will be available for delivery starting January 2009. Shipments from Ethiopia are estimated to double compared to last year, and we have added the Colombia supply sources as of this year.
