Issues statement

The Competition Commission (CC) has today published an issues statement as part of its statutory review of the Civil Aviation Authority's (CAA) proposed price controls for Stansted Airport, which will govern how much the airport's owner, BAA, can charge airlines during the five-year period beginning April 2009.

The CAA set out a number of pricing options for the CC to consider when it made the reference to the CC last month. The CC is carrying out a review of these options as well as examining whether the airport's owner has pursued any conduct during the last five years...
