It's such a simple question, like something a child might ask at a lecture demonstration, "Why do you dance?" But as we who dance know well, the simplest things are the hardest.

I took to dancing from the beginning. I was lucky enough to grow up in an environment (at the Dayton Ballet Dance Center in Ohio) that nurtured my gifts, which are not turnout or extension.
