...than ready to plant my feet down on terra firma. Home was South Jersey Regional (KVAY), with single, 3900-foot runway that runs east-west and a VOR approach to the end marked 26. The reported ceiling was around 1100 feet AGL, with four miles visibility in steady drizzle. Right as I hit MDA--the airport's beacon barely showing through the mist directly ahead
--I switched to CTAF with a sigh of relief, and proceeded directly to the airport.
The odd part was the runway lights weren't on. It was odd because South Jersey leaves the lights on all night....
