A Eugene man was sentenced to eight years in prison Tuesday for a drunken driving crash that killed a 23-year-old man who was engaged to be married in June.

Eduardo Gutierrez, 41, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.21, more than twice the legal limit for driving, on March 4 when he swerved into oncoming traffic on Highway 99 North and collided with a car driven by Justin Daniel Dougherty.
