But it is not a give-away. If not approached as a business, it will achieve neither goal. Sports camping requires a business plan--a written document that outlines the who, where, how, and why of the camp. While most coaches are familiar with the way that camps operate, via their experience as campers, counselors, and coaches, it is just as important to understand that it is a business.
Although there are various components to the business plan, we would like to focus on four of the critical aspects: the product, the price, the placement, and the promotion. These are our "4 P's of Marketing."
