"Document management" is an amorphous term, yet it is at the heart of every law office's operations. How efficiently a firm tames the paper tiger can be the difference between winning and losing cases, as well as between making a profit and losing money.
Filing, storing, indexing, and making documents easily accessible are critical to efficient firm management. For a solo or small-firm practice, enforcing a few basic protocols may help bring some order to the chaos.
