This Terra Australis monograph is based on Scan Ulm's recent PhD research. It presents a data-rich body of work following a detailed and systematic investigation into the archaeology of Southern Curtis Coast in southeast Queensland. While it may sound like something of a cliche, this work contributes substantially to our understanding of the Australian archaeological record.

Chapter 1 sets out the research questions and alms in a clear and coherent manner, which flow well into the sensible and well-considered critique of many of the fundamental issues of the Holocene archaeological record in this country.
