It may be said that all novels written by Ramón Hernández are one: he merely writes several versions of the same novel, in that while plot and technique may change, fundamental themes remain constant. Delirium is thus, in many respects, an extension of that novel. Like previous versions of the Hernández novel, Delirium exposes the inhumanity of humanity through a technically innovative narrative.
