...and objects in armed conflicts and wars of various scale with application of nuclear and conventional weapons on continental, ocean (sea) theatres of war and in strategic directions.
In the course of strategic deterrence LRA will conduct reconnaissance activity to the whole depth of continental and ocean TOW in the interests of timely and reliable disclosure of preparation of aggression against the Russian Federation and its allies; carrying out demonstrative preparation of the allocated forces for delivering air strikes, including being on duty in the air; delivering demonstrative aviation strikes on to the enemy, including application of nuclear destruction weapons, too.
In large-scale (regional) war LRA will solve the basic tasks on defeat of groupings of armies (forces) and objects of the enemy in strategic depth of continental and ocean TOW. Besides, in an initial stage of a regional war and also in a local war in the course of repulse of an aerospace attack and gaining superiority in the air LRA will be involved in defeat of objects of an aviation infrastructure of the enemy and in operational depth, too. Judging by potential opportunities of LRA for performance of its peculiar tasks in armed conflicts and wars, it can make the greatest contribution to achievement of the wars' purposes by destruction of objects of military & economic potential of the enemy, its aviation, rocket and sea groupings, objects of the military and government control.
In the future, in a process of modernization of technical equipment of LRA, the character of its tasks can change. First of all, it will concern the tasks performed by a long-range aviation in the course of repulse of aggression of local and regional scales.
