The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl should be getting very nervous about now. There's a definite question about whether there will be a Pac-10 team available to fill that slot allotted to the league's sixth-place team for a bowl in Fort Worth, Texas, on Dec. 31.

This Saturday could go a long way toward deciding the whether the Pac-10 will be sending a team up against the Mountain West representative.

The thinking goes a couple of ways on that. The Pac-10 could end up with two teams in Bowl Championship Series games, and then the Fort Worth game ends up with No. 7 out of the Pac-10.

Seven bowl eligible teams from the Pac-10? Now, that's a long shot.
