Thirty years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling that guided the Federal Communications Commission toward a perfectly reasonable approach to policing indecent language on broadcast television and radio programs. Now the high court wants to revisit the issue, which is worrisome because it's unnecessary.
