Alice Baker
SPRINGFIELD - Alice Katie Baker of Springfield died March 25 of pancreatic cancer at age 82. No service is planned.
She was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Philadelphia to Charles and Alice Maxim Baker.
She worked for Hughes Aircraft for 25 years, helping to develop a missile guidance system. She was an ice skater.
Survivors include a brother, James Baker of Fairfield, Conn.; and a sister, Charlotte Goerlich of Glenside, Pa.
Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

James Farlow
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for James Benjamin "Jim" Farlow of Eugene. He died March 27 of age-related causes at age 85. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at West Lawn.
He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Hightower, Ala., to Edward and Lillie Crumbley Farlow. He married Joann Skoog on March 30, 1947, in Toledo.
He served in the Army in World War II in Attu, Alaska, in the Aleutian Islands. He was a millworker and Caterpillar driver at International Paper in Vaughn for 25 years.
