As bibliographers Carol Mazur and Cathy Moulder note, one of the precursors to this excellent and admirably complete annotated bibliography was my own Alice Munro: An Annotated Bibliography, published in 1984 as one of ECW Press's Annotated Bibliography of Canada's Major Authors. That work is listed as secondary item number 1259 toward the end of these listings, as Mazur and Moulder move toward their final entry, a 2002 piece in the Toronto Star reporting on Munro's winning of the Upper Canada Brewing Company Writers' Craft Award for her awkwardly titled 2001 collection, Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage.
