Something weird has been going on with my right hip for the last few months. I tell myself it can't be very serious because I'm still taking class and performing. The pain also bothers me occasionally when I'm not dancing. Should I speak to my company's doctor? The symptoms are hard to describe, so I feel silly mentioning them.

I've never heard of a silly symptom in dancers, so please speak to the doctor. Your stoicism reflects your dedication. Yet that way of thinking is a double-edged sword. It may help you continue to dance in spite of minor aches, blisters, and the occasional bloody toenail.
