There is an upside for Ben Voogd during this season of all practice and no games as a redshirt at Oregon.

"I have the best seat in the house," he pointed out, when the Ducks are playing at McArthur Court.

That view from the Oregon bench is as close as the Siuslaw High School graduate has gotten to the court during a game this season, however, as he fulfills the requirement of not playing for a season after transferring from LSU, where he played for two seasons.

"It's been rough," Voogd said. "Sitting there every game, I'm just itching to get out there and play again."

Voogd participates in every practice with the Ducks, but he can't even be in uniform for games. When Oregon goes on the road, he isn't allowed - as an ineligible transfer - to travel at the team's expense, so...
