Announcing Emily Saxe as a new artist is like saying someone born Feb. 29, 1988, is turning 5 today.

Although the New York-born Saxe has been plugging away at music for the better part of the past two decades, she is making her national debut in the United States behind her release "Keeping You in Mind."

Now living in the San Diego area, Saxe will stop at the Hult Center today for a Leap Day show during the first leg of her American tour.

Saxe acquired most of her musical seasoning off the radar of the U.S. media, performing firstin the late 1980s at American piano bars. She then took a break from performing to have a brief law career and finally reclaimed her musical heritage while living...
