Incidents

FRIDAY, FEB. 15

Animal complaint: 1:26 p.m., 1700 block South 59th Street. A caller reported that cars were swerving to avoid a chicken in the road. The animal control officer was notified.

Unattended children: 2:49 p.m., 5200 block G Street. Police were called to check on a child that had reportedly been left unattended and sleeping in a car for more than two hours.

Criminal trespass: 11:49 p.m., 400 block Lindale Drive. A caller reported she came out of her bedroom and found a stranger in her apartment. She said the man appeared disoriented and left when she and her husband confronted him.

Identity theft: 7:14 p.m., 200 block 41st Street. A caller reported that a former roommate had called the cable company and ordered more than $300 in adult movies in his name.

Dispute: 3:58 p.m., Main and 28th streets. A male driver was reportedly physically fighting with a woman who was a passenger in his car. Police stopped the vehicle; both people declined to press charges.

SATURDAY, FEB. 16

Suspicious conditions: 1:55 a.m., 3200 block Gateway Street. Two residents of an apartment complex called to say that up to three car alarms were going off in the parking lot.

Criminal trespass: 9:30 a.m., 900 block Third Place. A caller reported that two men were trying to break in to an empty house in the neighborhood by bashing in a back door.
