The Combicut DJ/NC articulated diamond disc/waterjet cutting center from Breton has a mounted spindle for fitting an articulated diamond disc that rotates 360 degrees, operating in concert with a waterjet, making it the ideal solution for cutting complex curved lines.

The Combicut DJ/NC offers the possibility of combining or alternating both tools--the diamond disc cutter and/or waterjet, depending on production requirements. This allows for optimal cutting operations, resulting in a higher material yield and minimizing on waste, the company reports, all of which can be done without having to move the slab or workpieces.

The control panel is mounted to an articulated hanging structure, allowing the operator to easily move it within the working area when required.

In the standard version, the Combicut DJ/NC is supplied with a fixed worktable consisting of a steel tank structure fitted with "consumable" steel blades with a rubber coating that is designed for supporting the slab during machining operations.

As an option, the Combicut DJ/ NC can be supplied with an automatic worktable changeover system. This system, aimed at increasing productivity, allows the operator to program cutting specifications (nesting) for a slab outside of the machine while another slab is being machined. The worktables then change over automatically.

Flow International's StoneCrafter, with 87,000 psi, is capable of cutting any natural or manufactured stone, tile and glass material with optimal productivity and accuracy. The robust open gantry is designed and constructed using advanced finite-element engineering to ensure it will consistently deliver a high level of accuracy and performance over the long term.
