Antony Tudor was an aloof man, with a sudden, shy, and twisty smile that lit up his face like unexpected birdsong on a rainy day. He was not easy to get to know, being distrustful of compliments, and with a brusque manner that sometimes mimicked rudeness but really masked insecurity.
