In a way, there are two American Ballet Theatres. There is the company of opulent, full-length story ballets that performs for two months each spring at the Metropolitan Opera House. And then there is ABT's scaled-down season at City Center that offers a more diverse repertoire, giving audiences the opportunity to savor the depth and versatility of its many talented dancers.
