HALSEY - When Central Linn won the Trico League title two weeks ago, it did so on the road against Harrisburg.

Thus, Saturday night, after an easier than expected 43-21 victory against Lost River in the second round of the OSAA Class 2A girls basketball playoffs, out came the scissors and down came one of the nets.

"Our goal since before the season began was to get to Pendleton, so it didn't seem right cutting down the nets until now," Central Linn coach Josh Grotting said. "Now it feels right."

For the second straight season, Central Linn is moving on to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. It will play Portland Christian at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday as the remainder of the tournament...
