SPRINGFIELD - School bus No. 93 sat in front of Camp Creek Elementary School on Saturday, its golden body freshly buffed, its big, black tires looking almost new.

Something was missing, though - the bus's driver for the past seven years, Paula Ruth Benitez. She was inside the school's small gymnasium, in photographs attached to poster boards, in the voices that spoke about her 46 years and 214 days on Earth. They were voices choking back grief knowing that the life of their sister, their mother, their neighbor and friend ended in a moment of senseless violence Monday afternoon.
