The Eugene School Board will delay a decision about relocating Eastside Alternative Elementary School until after it considers a pending report with broader recommendations about the district's future, reopening the possibility that one or more neighborhood school will close as early as this June.

The decision - reached informally in discussion at Wednesday's meeting - injects more uncertainty into the district's so-called Shaping 4J's Future process, just as schools open their doors to prospective parents this week during the kickoff of "school shopping" season.
