Bears GM Jerry Angelo is on record that he isn't counting on offensive tackle Marc Colombo to be back this year or maybe ever, but the 2002 first-round draft choice says reports of his demise are premature.

"I think that was taken out of context," said Colombo, who continues to work his way back from a dislocated kneecap suffered in November of his rookie season. "Me and him had a conversation, and that wasn't mentioned at all. We talked about different scenarios, and we're on the same exact page. I think he knows in his heart that I'm going to be back.
