Irby, a division of Sonepar USA, the fifth largest electrical distributor in the U.S. and Sonepar Group, one of the world's largest electrical distributors, set a company record for sales growth during 2006.

Last year's success marks the beginning of a new era of prosperity for the Mississippi-based company, which operates branches in thirteen states. "We are a strong player in the electrical distribution industry, and we are moving aggressively to exceed the expectations of our customers and employees."

For more than 80 years, Stuart C. Irby Co. has been a key player in the electrical wholesaling industry, serving a multitude of customers in the utility, commercial, industrial, and contractor sectors. Irby is the third-largest utility distributor in the U.S. supplying more than 550 electric utilities throughout the country. Combined, these companies service more than 25% of all meters in the U.S.
