SAN FRANCISCO - There was 6:24 showing on the clock, and Oregon State was leading 21-14 when the Beavers took possession at their 1-yard line.

Offensive tackle Roy Schuening had a message for his teammates: "How would it feel if we went 99 yards on our last drive?"

The Beavers couldn't quite do it, but they did eat up the rest of the clock in running 14 plays that took them to the Maryland 8 when the game ended.
