Capture this: technology in college dance departments.

For dancers who choose it, college can be a time of unimaginable plenty (despite the ramen noodles). Resources that may be hard to come by out in the "real world"--studio space, regular class, and technology such as computers, video cameras, and editing software--can be found around the corner from technique class, or across campus in another department. The creative tools many students discover in college help shape their future careers as artists. So while it may be challenging, many dance departments make keeping up with technology an imperative.

Dance Magazine checked out technology at several schools to find out what they have and how they make it work for their students. We discovered that the magic of technology lies not just in the tools, but in how they're put to use.
