In Resource Allocation in Project Management, Christoph Schwindt analyzes methods of solving deterministic resource-constrained project-scheduling problems. The life cycle of a project consists of (1) conception, (2) definition, (3) planning, (4) execution, and (5) termination. Although each phase requires different techniques, most important to all of them are time and resource constraints. The project activities are usually related because of technological and organizational precedence relationships and resource constraints.
