Oregon and South Florida in the Sun Bowl is a matchup that might have easily occurred a week later in the national championship game, given slightly different circumstances this season.

Namely, had each not suffered a loss four days after ascending to No. 2 in the country. In both cases, that first loss was followed by two more. That the Bulls are healthier, and thus righted their ship to finish the season on a three-game win binge, is the biggest difference between them and the Ducks entering the Dec. 31 postseason matchup in El Paso, Texas.
