Still looking for a new home, Oregon Research Institute may play a key role in the redevelopment of a prominent building in downtown Eugene.

Eugene-based ORI has requested information from three developers, including the Portland developer who wants to renovate the Centre Court Building and adjacent pit at Broadway and Willamette Street, and local developers interested in transforming the PeaceHealth Medical Group clinic at West 12th Avenue and Willamette Street, an ORI official said Thursday.

ORI, a nonprofit organization that conducts behavioral research, now rents offices on Franklin Boulevard and the Riverfront Research Park, near the University of Oregon. The leases expire in June 2009.
