They don't know exactly when and they don't know exactly where, but the 170 or so Eugene-Springfield-based soldiers of the Oregon Army National Guard are going to war again.

Alpha Company of the 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry can expect an alert order any day for deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan in 2009, Oregon National Guard spokesman Maj. Michael Braibish said.

"We're looking at the possible mobilization of the entire 41st Infantry Brigade, not just parts of it that have been mobilized in the past," Braibish said....
