Ester Barclay

YONCALLA - Ester M. Barclay of Yoncalla died Nov. 26 of age-related causes at age 87. No service is planned.

She was born July 12, 1920, in Klamath Falls to Thomas and Beulah Akin Wilson. She married Elmer Barclay on Aug. 18, 1937, in Klamath Falls.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Beverly Henderson of Yoncalla; two sisters, Mary Ann Conley of Canyonville and Jean Pool of Bly; a brother, Don Wilson of Lakeview; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great--grandchildren. Three daughters, Lucille Friedrich, Leola Newman and Rita Thompson, and a son, Thomas, died previously.

Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove. Remembrances to Douglas Home Care Hospice in Roseburg.

Carolyne Bean

LEABURG - Carolyne Bean of Leaburg died Nov. 22 at age 54. The family chose not to list the cause of death. No service is planned.

She was born July 18, 1953, in New York to George and Helen Aye Yount. She married Wes Bean on April 16, 1977, in Fresno, Calif.

She attended college and worked as a certified nursing assistant, owned a small business and worked for a private nursing corporation.

Survivors include her husband and a daughter, Sarah Bean of Springfield. A son, Jacob Bean, died Aug. 29, 1993.

Arrangements by Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield.

Dorothy Bergstrom

Dorothy "Dot" Bergstrom of Eugene died Nov. 26 of kidney failure at age 86. No service is planned.

She was born May 22, 1921, in Salt Lake City to Harry and Cora Bate Piper. She married Biff Bergstrom in 1962 in Dallas, Wis.

A homemaker, she also worked as a real estate broker, a stockbroker and a secretary at Hill Air Force Base.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Hampton--Timmins of Ontario, Canada, and Liz Cratty of Eugene; a son, Ron Gutzmer of Dillon, Mont.; a sister, Helen Green of Fruit Heights, Utah; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband died in January 1984.
