It seems like every week Mohawk sets another scoring record.

This week, the Indians have bigger matters on their mind.

Mohawk (12-0) is back in the OSAA Class 1A football final Saturday afternoon when it plays Imbler (12-0) at 11 a.m. at Hillsboro Stadium. Mohawk has 10 seniors on the roster who played as sophomores when the Indians defeated South Wasco County to win the state championship.

After losing in the semifinals last season to Perrydale, the Indians got back into the championship game with a dramatic 37-34 semifinal victory over Crane on Saturday.

"This is awesome, but we've got to look forward to next week," senior quarterback Brody Wilkins said.

The Indians can be forgiven for spending a little extra time reflecting on last week's impressive comeback.
