Whether we like it or not, every radiologic technologist and student technologist will radiograph a pediatric patient. Pediatric radiology is a specialty in itself, and it takes a thoughtful, considerate and patient technologist to obtain the desired result (ie, a high quality diagnostic image). The device described in this article can help make performing a pediatric chest radiograph less intimidating for both the technologist and patient.
