"I wondered if I could just customize flash cards with our photos on them. We had flash cards, but they had nothing to do with our personal lives," says Marchetti. She searched for a company that would perform this service for her, with no luck. So she decided to create the cards herself.
"I made a prototype on a PowerPoint presentation using digital family photos," says Marchetti. "I printed the slides, had the paper laminated and gave the cards to Zach. He loved them!"
Gosling beginnings
The roots of Ridgewood, N.J.-based Goosie LLC (www.goosiecards.com) were formed. The name Goosie comes from a nickname given to Marchetti's son, a shortened version of "silly goose."
The final product, 4.25-by-7.5-inch cards, is made from heavy card stock and laminated to prevent rips and tears....
