Not content to rest on past successes, Bruce called upon all members in the coming year to make a renewed commitment to the IADC. I want to continue Bruce's theme and invite, urge, encourage and, yes, require each member of the IADC to renew your commitment to the IADC. It almost seems foolish for a member to invest the effort to become a member, as well as pay the dues and registration fees for various meetings, and then not to commit to the IADC.

While we need each member's efforts and energy to improve the IADC, commitment in the IADC is not a one-way street. The IADC also must make the commitment to each and every one of its members. This commitment begins with me as...
