In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and life in general, anything a retailer can offer to save time for customers is both beneficial and noticeable. Gift wrapping a customer's purchase gives retailers an edge in service, presentation, and reputation.

"Customers have less and less time to buy gifts," says Gabriela Delworth, arts and crafts instructor and graphic designer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. "Save your customer's time and keep them in the store a little longer by offering gift wrapping services."

Saving customer's time isn't the only benefit of offering gift wrapping services; it also provides retailers a chance to reflect the personality of their companies. Choosing certain colors and styles can reflect the store brand.

"There is a composition between brand and color," adds Delworth. "Retailers are creating a brand for their stores--anyone can be creative and do this.
