Laurie Williams was blessed by an angel.

Many of them, in fact.

Williams was a college freshman when her father died suddenly at the age of 48. She knew if she remained in college, she would have to find a way to finance her education and assist her siblings.

"I've always had a keen work ethic and was able to find jobs during the school year that would allow me to study and attend classes," she recalled. "Following college, I knew I wanted to go to law school. To pay off my existing school loans, I worked as a certified paralegal for a number of years and then entered law school....
