Article Excerpt ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Yesterday, Wednesday, February 18, 2004, the Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign announced its California County Leadership Team. The county chairpersons will help build support for the President's re- election campaign around their county and across the state. The Bush-Cheney '04 State Leadership Team announced in December that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will serve as Honorary Chair and Gerald Parsky will serve as General Chair.
"Californian's are energized and excited by President Bush's record of working to make our nation safer and more prosperous. Our regional and state leadership will carry President Bush's record of achievement throughout the state of California. Democrats would be mistaken to take this state for granted," said Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Chairman Governor Marc Racicot.
There are 58 Bush-Cheney '04 county leaders in California. Northern Regional Chair
Dr. Sam Wakim is a family dentist in private practice in Siskiyou County, a Grand Knight of the local Knights of Columbus, and is current vice-chair of the Siskiyou County Republican Central Committee. He is on the Resolutions and Drafting Committee of the Platform Committee of the California Republican Party.
Sutter County
Yvonne Meyers is a lifelong resident of Sutter County, a small business owner and the first alternate to the Sutter County Central Committee for Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa.
Amador County
Sue Dimmers served as Amador County chair for the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2000. Dimmers is currently secretary of the Amador County Republican Central Committee and president of Amador County Republican Women.
Glenn County
Brian Leach owns North state Chevrolet/Pontiac/GMC in Orland. Leach and his wife Cate are the proud parents of seven children.
Butte County
Cliff Wagner serves as the North East Area Chair of the California Republican Party and is a past chairman of the Butte County Republican Party.
Modoc County
