Outsource Manufacturing Inc. doesn't put its name on the products it makes in its Carlsbad factory. The company is a contract manufacturer specializing in electronics. Clients tell the company what to build. Outsource Manufacturing delivers. The customers on the receiving end never know who put their electronic parts together.

For toiling in obscurity, privately held Outsource is reaping benefits.

The 10-year-old business has built up such a trust with its client companies that one-third of those clients never see the electronic components they order. In those cases, Outsource Manufacturing builds the products, then ships them directly to that client's customers, said Chief Executive Ted Fogliani.
