Task Force

Task Force to Review the MLA Committee Structure: Amanda Maple and Jean Morrow, Co-chairs; Paula Elliot, Bruce Hall, Kevin Medows, Nancy Nuzzo, Dan Zager

With the goal of ensuring effectiveness in MLA's committee structure and responsiveness to current trends in music librarianship, the task force will undertake a review of the association's current committee structure. The group also will review committee charges and charges of special officers as appropriate. Seeking broad input from MLA's members, the task force will report to the Board at its Fall 2007 meeting. The report will include a summary of the review process and recommendations for changes in the committee structure and/or charges.

To plan a program and implement Board decisions regarding direction of the Association's growth. This may be achieved, for example, by fund raising, and public relations. The Development Committee is responsible for the preparation of promotional material such as brochures on music librarianship or on the Music Library Association. Such material should be designed to attract additional members to MLA or additional subscribers to Notes. Board approval must be obtained before such material may be distributed, and revision dates should be added to each new issue.
